African Masks

Mrs. Pantelin's 3rd Grade Class created African-Inspired masks today in their art lesson. After looking at examples of art and masks from Africa, students created masks. The class used their knowledge of symmetrical design that they learned in Math class to create the features in the masks.

One of the questions that I like to ask my students in junior high is, "What would the world be like without art?" This video demonstrates all the ways that art affects our world and our lives!
